September Book Recap~

It was a busy month of reading! Once again, 2 books were actually reads and 16 were book listens. A few 5-stars, but mostly 3–4 stars this month. No theme—I kind of bounced all over the place. If the cover looked good, I was reading it or listening to it.

Let’s dive in!

These were my 5 star picks. We read Mad Mabel with my book club, The Book Worms and we all loved it. You can guess why I picked up The Garden of Happy Endings, the black Labrador on the cover of course . Swan Song was and incredible story. So many questions were answered for me which sent me down a google rabbit hole of researching more. If you are old enough like me to remember the wedding and then the tragic accident 30 years ago this book if for you.

These next books, in no particular order are my 3-4 star reads and listens. I did enjoy several Sally Hepworth books after I listened to Mad Mabel and I will continue reading some more by her.

You can check out all these book and more from the past months here in my books section. Or join my on Goodreads where I track all my 400+ books I have logged in just to help me keep track on what I already read and my TBR in the future.

I’d love to know, what was your favorite read or listens was in September?

Happy Reading ~

Hey, I’m Jenn, semi-retired military spouse, mom of four and a NYer turned OKie. After 30 years of moving and starting from scratch, my husband, soldier, Dennis and I decided Oklahoma was our last stop. We built our forever home, “The Roost” here in SW Oklahoma.

When I’m not out running, leather working, volunteering or with the chickens, yes, a new thing for me, I’m in the garden. I love to learn and experiment how to grow here in SW Oklahoma. My favorite part is to bring the garden to the table.

I’m so glad you guys are here! We can all learn, share and “Grow” together through this journey.
