Happy Belated New Year!!!

Our house feels nearly empty these days and we've truly hit the ground running. Tackling our first five-mile run of the year and enjoying the beauty of five inches of fresh snow here at The Roost. We're jumping right into garden planning, seed starting and experimenting with gluten-free sourdough, which has been quite the adventure in itself.

I took a moment to reflect on the whirlwind that was 2024, I find myself proud of our accomplishments: From Our Roost to Your Table farm stand, new recipes and garden to table JOY, my mantra of “ Keep on Moving”, training RED, reading, painting, leathering and writing and so much more.

Looking ahead to 2025, I have a vision to start a monthly, quarterly or annual newsletter from The Roost, I haven’t quite decided yet. I can’t do it with out you.

What do you think?

My thought process was a wrap up of the month. I may feature an engaging Q&A section, share ideas for connection during this journey of semi retired, empty nesting phase, some gardening tips, tricks and experiments. Do a little exploring in to health and wellness and of course, showcase one of my favorite book and recipe of each month.

What would you like to read, learn, or try from me this year?

I would love to hear from you. Sign up below to receive my newsletter directly to your email.

Blessings and CHEERS to a Happy and Healthy 2025~

Hey, I’m Jenn, semi-retired military spouse, mom of four and a NYer turned OKie. After 30 years of moving and starting from scratch, my husband, soldier, Dennis and I decided Oklahoma was our last stop. We built our forever home, “The Roost” here in SW Oklahoma.

When I’m not out running, leather working, volunteering or with the chickens, yes, a new thing for me, I’m in the garden. I love to learn and experiment how to grow here in SW Oklahoma. My favorite part is to bring the garden to the table.

I’m so glad you guys are here! We can all learn, share and “Grow” together through this journey.
